of their body as hot stone massage. While that is a form of hot stone therapy, I use a different and actually more widely used technique. The stones are heated and used as an extension of my hands to massage. There are many benefits to hot stone massage including deep relaxation, increased blood flow, and the heat allows for deeper penetration of the tissue.
To me therapeutic massage is not limited to a single modality. It is a massage customized to each client and what their body requires when they come in which may vary from appointment to appointment. I use a combination of modalities and techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, precision neuromuscular, and active isolated stretching to create your individualized massage experience.
